Houston We Have A Problem

October 8, 2015 By: Works2hard

We had our first child melt down over the 31 Days of no spending challenge.

He has been 7 days without soda and without eating out which for a 10 year old, is torture.  So he thought tonight because we are bagging for the Weekend Food Program that Taco Bell could be the menu. When I told him, I had dinner prepared in the fridge, a meltdown of epic proportions ensued.

So, we {hubby and I} used it as a way to talk to the boy about what’s important. We talked about how if one thing is the BIGGEST thing in our life, it’s a stronghold or idol and we need to let it go. What we did is make a compromise. We agreed we’ve all done really well. Better than any of us expected. So, we have opted to have a family dinner {at a restaurant of the boy’s choosing} on Saturday night with his special surprise spend the night guest. We will be 10 days in and there is a lot to celebrate being able to hold each other accountable for something we take for granted. It’s causing us to grow as a family.

I’m excited that Day 8 begins a cleaning and organizing challenge ~ because that is right up my alley! Bring it next 7 days!31DaysLWSZDay8

Hi! I’m Michelle

I’m a married mother of one son, who is 10 years old. We are a busy family as my husband and I own our own electrical contracting company – so I understand how precious those snippets of time spent as a family making memories are.

I also work full time, and then run two home based businesses. I'm an Independent Beachbody Coach walking my own health and fitness journey and I'm an Independent Travel Agent for Destinations to Travel, LLC specializing in planning and making sure that memorable experiences are a part of each and every trip. It's a passion for me. I am excited to be able to share my passion and enthusiasm with each and every family that I am able to help plan their vacation.

We are originally from south Georgia so the typical southern drawl is still evident even after relocating to Florida in September 2007. Southern hospitality is still dripping from my veins, I personally think it is something that sets me apart.

I LOVE to travel. That's why I became a travel agent!!

I look forward to sharing my life with you. I hope something I say or do sparks an interest in you as well!
